Transformations A positive and future-focused group encouraging growth and transformation for women healing from the impact of sexual abuse   Our goal is to assist women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse to move forward from feeling like they are "surviving", to vision or experience a sense of "thriving".   Assist women to understand childhood sexual abuse including self blame, shame and anger Honour and name strengths and abilities in coping Create safety by developing and practicing grounding tools Identify triggers and developing coping strategies to deal with them Clarify boundaries and their importance in developing a strong sense of self Practice breathing and relaxation methods Recognize and release anger Self Care and Nurturance Understand sexuality after abuse   10 Weekly Session Sessions are 2 hours and will be limited to 10 group members Beginning Wednesday, October 28, 2009 1:00-3:00 p.m.   FREE OF CHARGE   To register, contact our intake worker at: 519-753-4173 Ext. 239 GROUP MEETINGS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE FAMILY COUNSELLING CENTRE OF BRANT, INC.
