Counsellor
Full-time – 35 hours/week
Family Counselling Centre of Brant, Inc. is a not-for-profit, multi-service agency that, in partnership with the community, promotes the well being of individuals and families through counselling, support and information.
In the role of Counsellor, you will provide direct clinical counselling to individuals, couples, and families, presenting with a wide array of personal, family, and work-related issues. You will also provide the clinical and business interface with customer organizations in our Employee Assistance Program ensuring that the EAP is responsive to workplace needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work and a minimum of 5 years experience in individual, couple and family counselling and group facilitation
- Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers, the Ontario Association of Marriage and Family Therapy or equivalent
- Experience working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and adult survivors of childhood abuse
- An orientation towards strength-based, solution-focused, single session therapy
- Knowledge of and experience with concurrent disorders
- Demonstrated skill in organizational counselling and EAP contract management would be an asset
- Solid administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency
