Opening Doors For Individuals who are Deafblind
 
 
Deafblindness has been described as a combined loss of vision and hearing. This loss can significantly impact on an individual's ability to communicate, learn and interact with their environment.
Individuals with deafblindness require specialized services to meet their unique needs.
Who is it for?
Services will be provided to adults who are deafblind, support circles or agencies within the counties of Brant, Haldiman-Norfolk, and the Hamilton, Niagara Region.
Major Goals
Our program is designed to meet the increasing behavioural issues identified in adults who are deafblind.
Our Team
Deafblind Outreach Services operates under the supervision of a registered psychologist with the needs of the program being delivered by certified intervenors and therapists trained in the field of deafblind.
